A routine Thursday afternoon at the Regency Oaks Apartments in Casselberry turned into a crime scene when police found a man dead inside one of the units. Detectives have opened a homicide investigation and are keeping a tight lid on details as they work to piece together what happened.

According to FOX 35 Orlando, officers and crime scene investigators were on site at the Regency Oaks complex late Thursday, combing through the apartment where the man was discovered. The station's report did not identify the victim or indicate whether anyone had been detained or arrested in connection with the case.
Past incidents at the complex
The property, marketed as Goldelm at Regency Oaks, has already earned an uneasy reputation among some residents after a string of violent incidents in recent years.
