Chef Joey Riley’s Mosaic Bistro & Pub in Chamblee is officially done for. Riley announced on June 30 that the restaurant had closed for good, ending a not-quite-eight-month run after staff said ongoing construction and access problems made it impossible to keep service going.
According to What Now, Riley posted on social media that the team was “heartbroken” and had “given it everything we had” before deciding to shut the doors. The outlet reports Mosaic had already temporarily closed on May 30 after nearby roadwork disrupted customer access, and Riley’s message thanked diners and the property’s landlords for sticking with the restaurant through the turmoil.
Short Run From a Familiar Face
Riley opened Mosaic as his follow-up act to Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub, his longtime Brookhaven spot that closed in April 2024, per The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Billed as a chef-driven neighborhood bistro, Mosaic drew early attention from local restaurant watchers tracking its buildout and lease.
