The family-owned Italian restaurant is treating the comeback as a clean slate, with the owners publicly thanking first responders and neighbors for helping them get to reopening day.
Back in service
According to Bellini Osteria Toscana, the restaurant officially reopened and celebrated on June 30 and has resumed regular service at 70 West Crossville Road. The dining room is once again taking reservations, and the website lists updated operating hours for guests plotting their return.
FOX 5 Atlanta reported that owners and staff welcomed back familiar faces on reopening day and described the moment as a new chapter for the family-run spot after months of repairs.
How the blaze unfolded
The fire broke out on March 1 during the dinner rush, when staff quickly moved guests outside as smoke and flames spread, according to WSB-TV. The owner and fire crews said the blaze traveled through wall cavities into the attic and appeared to have started near the pizza-oven flue.
Atlanta News First reported that roughly 70 to 80 diners were inside when the evacuation took place. The restaurant estimated more than $100,000 in damage as cleanup and rebuilding got underway.
Bellini's place in Roswell
Bellini opened its doors in March 2024, according to the company’s offering statement, positioning itself as a northern Italian, Tuscan-style osteria tailored to the Roswell dining crowd. The filing outlines the origin story and concept, while third-party listings highlight a menu centered on housemade pastas and wood-fired pizzas.
With the reopening, Bellini slides back into its role as a go-to dining option along Crossville Road, restoring a neighborhood spot that had barely gotten started before the fire hit.
Owners thank first responders
The owners have credited the quick actions of both staff and the Roswell Fire Department with preventing the situation from becoming far worse. On its homepage, the restaurant shared a simple update for loyal guests: “Bellini has officially reopened following the fire that occurred on March 1.”
Local officials and regulars turned out for the late-June celebration, and FOX 5 Atlanta noted that the owners expressed gratitude for the outpouring of community support as full service resumed.
