Round Rock’s La Frontera is about to get a splash of fruit and granola. Rush Bowls is slated to open a new location in August at the northwest corner of I-35 and Louis Henna Boulevard, taking over a storefront at 115 Sundance Parkway, Suite 340. The Colorado-born chain plans to serve its colorful açaí bowls, smoothie blends and cold-brew to lunchtime office workers and weekend shoppers, adding another grab-and-go option to a center already packed with big-box anchors.
As reported by Community Impact, the company announced the Round Rock opening on social media on July 15 and pegged August as the target month. The outlet notes that the shop will be in the La Frontera retail center and pointed readers to the company’s Round Rock page for additional details.
What the counter will serve
The Rush Bowls Round Rock page lists bowls topped with fresh fruit, organic granola and shredded coconut, along with blended smoothies, grab-and-go banana bread and coconut bites, refresher-style “revivers” and cold-brewed coffee. The chain highlights its use of all-natural ingredients and customizable bowls for dine-in or takeaway, according to its localized menu listing on Rush Bowls.
Where it will be
Acadia Realty shows Rush Bowls on La Frontera Village’s tenant roster, placing the shop among retailers such as Kohl’s, Burlington and Hobby Lobby. Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records for the address list a registered renovation for a Rush Bowls buildout at 115 Sundance Parkway and show a roughly 1,225-square-foot project, while leasing materials list the unit at about 1,275 square feet. The two figures reflect reporting differences between permit filings and leasing plans.
Rush Bowls says it has grown to more than 55 locations nationwide and has over 100 more in development, a footprint the company highlights on its site. Local shoppers can expect the brand to share a firm soft-opening or grand-opening date on its social channels as August gets closer.
