San Antonio diners are getting nearly an extra week to eat their way around the city this summer. Culinaria’s biannual San Antonio Restaurant Weeks has been bumped up by seven days and will now run August 8 through August 29, turning the usual two-week promo into a 22-day citywide dining marathon. The extended run gives locals more time to work through three-course prix fixe menus at neighborhood mainstays and chef-driven hotspots across the Alamo City.
As reported by CultureMap San Antonio, the nonprofit event, which Culinaria launched in 2010, will feature more than 150 participating restaurants offering three-course menus. Brunch clocks in at $25, lunches range from $20 to $30, and dinners run $35 to $55, according to the announcement.
Official listings, menus and reservations
The official event site keeps a live roster of participating spots, a neighborhood map and plenty of menu previews so planners can map out their eating strategy. Per the San Antonio Restaurant Week site, menus are posted as restaurants submit them, and availability can vary by service and by date.
Why organizers stretched the run
Organizers say the extra days are designed to give restaurants a longer runway during the city’s slower summer stretch and to spread demand across more nights instead of packing dining rooms into a tight two-week window. As noted by CultureMap San Antonio, chefs are often slow to lock in final menus, so specific dishes and any optional pairings may shift as restaurants finalize plans.
The participating lineup runs from longtime independent favorites to newer concepts. The published roster includes names such as Ladino and King William Wine Co., along with cafés and full-service restaurants spread across multiple neighborhoods. Culinaria, the nonprofit behind the promotion, says proceeds from Restaurant Weeks support its year-round culinary education and hospitality programs, per Culinaria. Diners eyeing high-demand reservations, especially downtown or around the Pearl, will want to keep tabs on individual restaurant pages and book early.
