Once today’s storms move out, the heat cranks up fast. A Heat Advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Sunday, July 26 through 9 p.m. Monday, July 27, with highs near 95°F on Sunday and around 99°F on Monday and heat index values topping 105 6110°F in parts of the metro. Residents are urged to take extra precautions, stay hydrated, and limit midday exertion, according to the National Weather Service.
