Around 6 p.m., a Revere officer pulled over the pickup on Mahoney Circle after a “be on the lookout” alert went out for a stolen vehicle. The driver then sped off from the stop and later slammed into a second car on Revere Beach Parkway, according to WHDH.
The station reports that after the crash, the pickup’s driver ran away on foot. Bystanders stepped in and helped officers bring the suspect into custody. WHDH notes that there was no immediate update on the conditions of either driver.

Police say bystanders assisted officers in detaining the suspect, and emergency crews transported both the pickup driver and the driver of the other car to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment.
