A weekend visit to a neighborhood recreational-center pool in Stone Mountain ended in tragedy Saturday evening when a 38-year-old man drowned. Emergency crews tried life-saving measures at the scene and rushed him to a hospital, but he did not survive.
The DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 38-year-old Devon Marion. DeKalb County Fire Rescue said crews were called to the Mountain Oaks Clubhouse on Mountain Oaks Parkway, where they provided emergency care and transported Marion to a hospital, according to Atlanta News First. Officials said it remains unclear what led to the drowning and have not released additional details.
