Tempe Marketplace is lining up some serious new firepower. Performance outdoor brand KUIU is set to open its first Arizona retail shop this summer, and national heavyweights Coach, Tommy Hilfiger and Glo Tanning are expected to arrive later in 2026. The moves deepen the open-air center’s blend of first-to-market specialty shops and familiar chains, giving Valley shoppers a few more reasons to swing by the complex near Loop 101 and Loop 202.
According to a news release shared with ABC15, Vestar announced the new lineup and said the signings "further solidify the center’s position as one of the Valley’s premier shopping destinations with a dynamic mix of nationally recognized and first-to-market brands." ABC15 reported that KUIU will bring an "immersive in-store experience," while Coach, Tommy Hilfiger and Glo Tanning are expected to open in late 2026.
KUIU's Arizona Debut
The Tempe Marketplace tenant directory lists KUIU as "Coming Soon" and notes that the brand specializes in performance hunting gear and apparel. The center’s tenant page indicates the new shop will function as an immersive retail experience and will be the company’s first brick-and-mortar location in Arizona.
Vestar's Leasing Push
Vestar, the Phoenix-based developer behind Tempe Marketplace, has been actively chasing first-to-market concepts across its Arizona properties. In a 2026 release via PR Newswire, Vestar highlighted KUIU among its recent first-to-market wins and said the company closed more than 350 new and renewed leases last year.
What It Means Locally
Located at the interchange of Loop 101 and Loop 202, Tempe Marketplace lists its address as 2000 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ. The open-air center has long drawn Arizona State University students and east-valley shoppers with its mix of retail, dining and events, and the latest signings add fresh options to that lineup.
Hiring signs are already starting to surface. Coach’s parent company has posted a Tapestry careers listing for a "Store Manager - New Store - Tempe Marketplace," suggesting hiring and build-out work are underway. Per ABC15, KUIU is expected to open this summer, while Coach, Tommy Hilfiger and Glo Tanning are slated for late 2026. The center and retailers plan to share specific grand opening dates when they are ready.
