
A shooting near Tower Grove Park left one adult man dead and another person critically injured Thursday afternoon, sending homicide detectives to a residential stretch of south St. Louis.
The incident occurred near Juniata Street in the Tower Grove Park area, where St. Louis police Capt. Anthony Aubuchon gave a media update, according to STLToday.
District 2 officers responded to a double shooting in the 3700 block of Juniata around 3:50 p.m., the SLMPD update on X said. Police reported that an adult man had died and another victim was critically injured, with homicide detectives responding to the scene.

Police Investigation Remains In Its Early Stages
The initial police update did not identify either victim or provide a suspect description, and authorities had not announced a motive. Investigators were continuing to process the scene and determine what led to the gunfire.
The shooting happened in the Tower Grove South neighborhood, just south of the park and near the Juniata Street corridor. Additional details are expected as detectives work to interview witnesses and reconstruct the circumstances surrounding the deadly shooting.
