A late-night robbery on a Williamsburg block turned violent Thursday when two suspects allegedly approached a 30-year-old man, stabbed him in the stomach, and took his phone. The attackers were still being sought Friday morning.
According to News 12, the attack happened around 9 p.m. on Boerum Street between Lorimer and Leonard streets. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, but investigators had not provided an update on his condition.
Police Have Few Public Details
Investigators say the suspects approached the man before the stabbing and robbery, but no suspect descriptions, arrests, or possible motive had been announced in the initial report. The case remains open, with the victim’s phone identified as the property taken during the attack.
The incident follows a separate Williamsburg stabbing reported in June, when a 30-year-old man was injured during a brawl near Roebling Playground, according to another News 12 report. That earlier victim was expected to recover, while police have not released a similar health update in Thursday night’s case.
