
A quiet stretch of Willow Street in Lawrence turned into an active crime scene early Sunday after two people were found dead inside a home near the Spicket River. Police say the bodies of a 41-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man were discovered close to each other, and the neighborhood stayed taped off into the morning as investigators worked the scene.
What Officials Are Saying
Officers were called to the Willow Street residence at about 12:08 a.m., according to NBC Boston. When they arrived, they found the two bodies inside. Authorities have not yet publicly identified either victim.
Officials told NBC Boston that the woman showed apparent trauma, while the man had apparent injuries. State and local police are handling the investigation.

The Essex County District Attorney’s Office said the deaths “appear to be an isolated incident,” according to NBC Boston. Officials have not released a cause of death and say more details will be made public after investigators and the medical examiner complete their work.
