The advisory includes Bexar County and remains in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday. The local weather service says some spots could reach 104 degrees, with heat-index values as high as 108, so residents should limit strenuous outdoor activity, drink plenty of fluids and take frequent breaks in air conditioning or shade.
Thursday Brings A Better Chance Of Storms
A few rain showers could develop Thursday morning, followed by a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon. Thursday night brings a 40% chance of storms, but forecasters do not expect widespread rain, and stronger cells could produce gusty winds.
Weekend Heat Rebuilds Quickly
Friday should remain mostly sunny with a high near 99 and only a slight chance of storms, while Saturday and Sunday stay sunny with highs near 99 and 98. The latest outlook is a meaningful update to Hoodline’s earlier heat forecast, with rain briefly interrupting the pattern before another stretch of near-100-degree afternoons returns next week.
