A man lay unconscious in the middle of East 165th Street in Concourse Village early Saturday morning after a physical fight outside 1059 College Ave — and before help could reach him, he was struck first by a fleeing white BMW X5 and then by an NYPD patrol car. He was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital, and police are still searching for the BMW's driver.
According to News12 Bronx, the altercation broke out around 3:47 a.m. outside 1059 College Ave, leaving the unidentified man unresponsive and unconscious in the roadway near the corner of East 165th Street and College Avenue. About 10 minutes later, the outlet reports, the white BMW X5 struck him while traveling eastbound on East 165th Street and fled the scene. Shortly after, an NYPD vehicle also traveling eastbound on East 165th Street struck the man while going roughly 12 mph, per the same account.
Police officers at the scene rendered first aid before the man was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, the station reported. As of the report, no arrests had been made, and the investigation remains ongoing, according to NYPD. Police are searching for the driver of the white BMW X5, and the man's identity had not been released.

It is not yet known which of the three events — the physical altercation, the BMW strike, or the impact from the NYPD vehicle — caused the man's fatal injuries; that determination would fall to the medical examiner, and the dossier does not indicate one has been announced.
