Cambridge Police are asking the public to help untangle a late-night disturbance in Harvard Square that involved multiple people and left someone seriously injured. The department says the incident happened on Brattle Street, and the investigation remains active more than a week later.
The disturbance took place at about 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, according to a Cambridge Police Department notice. Detectives are seeking witnesses and people who saw or recorded the confrontation on their phones.
Witnesses Asked To Share Cellphone Video
The public notice did not identify the injured person, explain what led to the disturbance, or announce an arrest. It asked anyone who witnessed the incident—or captured cellphone footage—to come forward.
Witnesses can contact Cambridge Police detectives at 617-349-3300, while anonymous tips can be submitted through the department's website, according to Cambridge Police. Investigators are also asking people who witnessed or recorded the incident to share what they have, including video from a cellphone.
Investigation Remains Open
The public appeal came Tuesday, 10 days after the disturbance. The notice did not provide further details about the injury, possible charges, or the identities of those involved.
