No rain is expected in the city, and west-to-southwest winds should run around 10 mph. The week trends slightly cooler through Thursday before temperatures climb again heading into next Sunday.
Low clouds are expected across much of the coast and parts of the inland valleys this morning, then should scatter between about 8 and 10 AM, according to the National Weather Service in San Diego. Once the marine layer clears, the afternoon forecast is mostly sunny and dry.
Morning Clouds, Breezy Inland Areas
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low near 68 degrees, followed by a sunny tomorrow with a high around 80 degrees. Tomorrow’s city winds could gust to 20 mph, while mountain and desert areas may see afternoon and evening gusts of 25 to 35 mph through midweek.
Wednesday and Thursday look like the coolest days of the stretch, with highs near 79 and overnight lows in the upper 60s. Friday should remain mostly sunny near 79, while Saturday warms slightly to about 81 under partly sunny skies.
Sunday Brings A Warm-Up And Slight Shower Chance
Next Sunday is currently expected to be the warmest day in the extended forecast, with a high near 85 and a 17% chance of rain showers between 11 AM and 5 PM. That is still a slim possibility, but it could add a little uncertainty to outdoor plans.
Elevated Surf Continues At South-Facing Beaches
South- and southwest-facing beaches could see sets up to 6 feet today and around 5 feet tomorrow as tropical swells move through. No hazardous marine conditions are expected through Friday, although afternoon gusts near 20 knots are possible around San Clemente Island.
For most San Diego neighborhoods, the practical forecast is simple: expect a cloudy start, a sunny afternoon and mild temperatures for much of the week. The National Weather Service lists no watches, warnings or advisories for the area.
