Late Wednesday Storm Chance Stays Low
Outdoor plans should have a wide weather window Wednesday, though a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday, August 27. The chance of precipitation is about 20%, so most of the city should remain dry even as a few overnight storms pass through.
Thursday will again reach about 84 degrees under mostly sunny skies, with another slight storm chance between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. After that brief window, the National Weather Service expects partly cloudy conditions Thursday night and a low near 65.
Sunny Weekend Gives Way To September Heat
Friday and Saturday look like the cleanest bets for outdoor plans, with sunny skies and highs near 82 and 83 degrees. Sunday warms to about 87, followed by a mostly sunny Monday near 91 and Tuesday near 90, with slight rain and thunderstorm chances returning early next week.
That warmer outlook marks a notable shift from the cooler, quieter stretch highlighted in an earlier Columbus forecast. For now, Wednesday offers the better bargain: sunshine, manageable winds and only a small chance that thunder interrupts the late-night hours.
