Sunny Tuesday Gives Columbus A Comfortable Break
Tuesday will stay sunny with northwest winds around 1 mph, while some brief river-valley fog remains possible before sunrise. Temperatures will climb through the 60s during the morning, reach the mid-70s around midday and top out near 80 in the afternoon.
Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with temperatures falling to about 59 degrees. Wednesday turns warmer and partly sunny, bringing a high near 83 with light southerly winds.
Storm Chances Return Before A Hotter Weekend
A chance of showers and thunderstorms develops after 2 a.m. Wednesday night, with a 40% chance of rain and a low near 65. Thursday keeps a similar 40% rain chance, including possible storms early and again during the day, while the high reaches about 84 degrees.
The National Weather Service says a few stronger storms may be possible Thursday afternoon into early evening, though no watches, warnings or advisories are posted. The updated outlook is a notable change from Hoodline's earlier forecast, which called for a wetter midweek stretch.
Friday and Saturday now look like the best bets for outdoor plans, with sunny skies and highs near 82 and 83 degrees. Sunday warms to about 87 under mostly sunny skies, and Monday could reach 89 with only a slight chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms.
