A man in his 60s was found dead inside an Excelsior Springs home Tuesday morning, and police quickly shifted from a death investigation to a homicide case after saying the death did not appear natural. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, but authorities have not disclosed how the man died.
Officers responded around 9:20 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about a dead body inside a residence. According to KSHB 41 News, Excelsior Springs Police Chief Gregory Dull said officers located the deceased man when they arrived.
Suspect Was Taken Into Custody At The Scene
Police said a suspect was located at the home and taken into custody, though no identity or additional details about that person have been released. Investigators also have not announced a cause of death, leaving key questions about what happened inside the residence unanswered.
