Downtown Atlanta just got a sports bar where watching the game is only half the assignment. Peachtree Sporting Club and American Dive are now open inside the restored 207 Peachtree building, pairing a giant screen and interactive sports bays with barbecue, live music and a late-night dive-bar setup.

As reported by FOX 5 Atlanta, 207 Peachtree is a 45,000-square-foot entertainment, dining and event venue in the heart of downtown. Peachtree Sporting Club is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., with wall-to-wall sports screens, interactive competitions and suites outfitted with simulator bays.

The club's own 207 Peachtree website describes a 20-foot video wall and seven virtual golf and game bays, along with craft cocktails, beer and an elevated menu. The idea is less traditional sports bar and more sports playground, giving groups something to do between big plays.

American Dive Brings Barbecue And Live Music Downtown

Downstairs, American Dive takes the opposite approach with a classic dive-bar atmosphere, Southern barbecue and live music. Its official website places the venue in the lower level of 207 Peachtree and promotes lunch, dinner, barbecue and nightly entertainment.

The menu includes beef brisket, burnt-end bites and baby back ribs, according to FOX 5's report. American Dive is listed as open from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays and until midnight on Sundays, giving downtown visitors a considerably later option than the sports club upstairs.

A Former Department Store Gets A Game-Day Reboot

The new concepts occupy a circa-1920s building that formerly housed Regenstein's department store, a longtime downtown institution that closed in 1978. Axios Atlanta reported that the hospitality group behind Red Phone Booth and Amalfi Cucina + Mercato is reworking the property as a multi-venue destination.

The larger 207 Peachtree project is planned around six experiences, including the sports club, American Dive, a rooftop lounge, a ballroom, an Italian restaurant and the existing speakeasy. For Atlanta locals, the pitch is simple: one downtown address where a watch party, dinner, live music and a little friendly simulator competition can all fit into the same night.
