For anyone heading into the mountains or high desert, the weather picture is a little more active. The National Weather Service says those areas could see a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon, with gusty winds around any storms posing the main concern.
Cool Weekend Leads Into A Warmer Stretch
Tomorrow should be mostly sunny with a high near 80, followed by another mostly sunny 80-degree day next Monday. Overnight lows will remain mild near 68, while the marine layer is expected to become shallower and less likely to push as far inland.
Temperatures Climb Into The 80s
San Diego’s warming trend becomes more noticeable next Tuesday through next Friday, when highs are forecast to reach 81 to 83 degrees. The broader region is expected to turn warmer and drier next week, with inland valleys, lower mountain communities and deserts feeling more heat than the coast.
By next Friday, the city’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, a high near 83, and a still-small 9% chance of rain. No weather alerts are currently listed for the San Diego forecast area.
