Tomorrow brings a small step toward brighter weather, with partly sunny skies and a high near 77 degrees. Overnight temperatures should fall to around 67, keeping the coast comfortable even if the morning starts gray.
Weekend Warmup Stays Manageable
Saturday reaches about 78 degrees under partly sunny skies, with northwest winds of 5 to 10 mph and gusts up to 20 mph. Next Sunday turns mostly sunny with a high near 79, followed by highs around 80 next Monday and 81 next Tuesday.
The broader weather pattern is shifting toward drier air after today's cooldown, setting up a slow warmup into early next week. San Diego's coastal neighborhoods should remain mild, but inland valleys and the lower deserts will be much hotter, with desert temperatures near 100 degrees today and potentially reaching 106 to 110 by next Tuesday.
