Hailie Jade is heading back to the family business today, meeting fans at Mom's Spaghetti in downtown Detroit just hours before her podcast, Just a Little Shady, drops the first episode of its fifth season. The 30-year-old daughter of Eminem announced the pop-up will kick off at 11 a.m. at The Trailer, the merch and collectibles shop tucked above the Woodward Avenue restaurant her father helped build.
According to The Detroit News, Hailie Jade made the announcement via Instagram, and she'll be joined by her podcast co-host, Brittany Ednie, to sell Just a Little Shady merchandise directly to fans. The two have hosted the show together since it launched in 2022, and the series has since recorded more than 100 episodes. Season 4 wrapped in May, and the new season's first episode is set to drop at 3 p.m. Friday.
A Pop-Up Rooted in Family History
The Trailer sits above the permanent Mom's Spaghetti walk-up window at 2131 Woodward Avenue, a spot that opened in downtown Detroit in September 2021 through a partnership between Eminem, his manager Paul Rosenberg, and Metro Detroit-based Union Joints, according to the Ilitch Companies News Hub. The upstairs retail room is decorated in a vintage Midwestern trailer style and holds only eight customers at a time, a tight-capacity detail that makes Friday's meet-and-greet an intimate affair rather than a mass gathering.
The Mom's Spaghetti name traces back to Eminem's 2002 hit “Lose Yourself,” from the “8 Mile” soundtrack, which became the first hip-hop song to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song, as Complex has noted. The concept itself started as a temporary pop-up in December 2017 inside St. Andrew's Hall's basement venue, The Shelter, timed to the release of Eminem's “Revival” album, before evolving into the permanent Woodward Avenue storefront. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shady Records and Union Joints also used the operation to deliver meals to frontline health care workers at eight Metro Detroit hospitals and to staff at the TCF Center vaccination site.
A Business With Its Own Momentum
Mom's Spaghetti has kept expanding well past its Detroit storefront. In October 2023, the brand commercialized its signature pasta sauce into jarred retail products sold online, with initial inventory repeatedly selling out within hours, according to a Femfounded case study. Hailie Jade's own venture has grown alongside it: Just a Little Shady has built a YouTube audience of more than 279,000 subscribers and expanded into spinoffs including a home renovation series called Just A Little Reno and a merchandise line branded Gossip Is Good For You.
Today's appearance lands during a notably transformative stretch for Hailie Jade personally. She married Evan McClintock in May 2024, and on an October 2024 episode of Just a Little Shady, Ednie revealed she had secretly been drinking Hailie Jade's alcoholic beverages throughout the wedding to help hide an early pregnancy from guests. Eminem later confirmed that pregnancy publicly that same month through the music video for his song “Temporary,” which showed Hailie Jade handing him a Detroit Lions jersey printed with “GRANDPA” alongside a sonogram image. She gave birth to her first child, a son named Elliot Marshall McClintock, in March 2025, choosing the middle name in honor of her father, Marshall Mathers III.
