The restaurant is the work of Moe Arsalan and Anum Khan, the husband-and-wife team who built Churro On Top before branching into savory fare, according to CultureMap Fort Worth. The couple entered the restaurant business in 2023, opening the original Churro On Top at 3810 South Cooper Street in Arlington to satisfy what Local Profile describes as a personal craving for California-style churros. They followed that with a second Churro On Top location in Richardson in 2024, then a third in Fairview in 2026, before layering Tick Tock Taco on top of the Fairview shop as a dual concept.
That Fairview flagship, which opened at 201 Town Place in Fairview Town Center in February 2026, is a two-story build pairing Tick Tock Taco and Churro On Top with an upstairs arcade called The Catch Club, complete with claw machines, according to a report from Local Profile. The Colleyville location will mirror the Fairview menu but adapt to a standalone drive-thru format built for suburban commuters, per the same account from culturemap.com.
