A 27-year-old Hillsboro man was arrested after his car crashed into a house late last Tuesday, with police saying a breath sample later registered a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.21%. No one inside the home was hurt, and people involved in the crash were also reported uninjured. The wreck happened near SE Brookwood Avenue and SE Oakhurst Street at about 11 p.m.
The Hillsboro Police Department said officers received reports of the crash and responded with Hillsboro Fire & Rescue. The Tuesday update came one week after the wreck and said responders ensured everyone inside the home was safe. Officials did not publicly describe the extent of damage to the house.
Police Say The Crash Led To A DUII Arrest
Officers began a DUII investigation and arrested Christopher Quandee, police said. Quandee provided a breath sample that showed a 0.21% BAC, according to the department's account. The public update did not say whether prosecutors had filed additional charges.
