A man was shot and killed in St. Louis’ North City late Saturday, with homicide detectives working the scene as investigators tried to determine what led to the fatal gunfire. The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. in the 1000 block of Cass Avenue, according to police.
Officers were called to the block and found the man dead at the scene, First Alert 4 reported. The initial report did not include the victim’s identity, a suspect description or a possible motive, and police said the investigation remained active.
Homicide Detectives Continue North City Investigation
St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives were assigned to process the scene and pursue leads. The department says its homicide investigators respond to suspicious deaths, interview witnesses and collect evidence for prosecutors, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
