Man Stabbed on 21st Street in Midtown Sacramento, No Suspect Found

A man was hospitalized early Sunday morning after being stabbed in the 1100 block of 21st Street in Midtown Sacramento, in an attack that unfolded just steps from some of the neighborhood's busiest late-night bars. Sacramento Police responded to the stabbing just after 2 a.m. and found a male adult victim at the scene. As of Sunday morning, police said the victim was in stable condition, and no arrests had been made.

According to FOX40, the victim was transported to a hospital following the attack, and Sacramento Police said they currently have no information on a possible suspect. The stabbing happened on a stretch of 21st Street that functions as one of Midtown's most active late-night commercial corridors, home to venues including The Press Club at 1119 21st Street and The Cabin at 1207 21st Street, both of which stay open until 2 a.m. on weekends. The timing of the attack lines up with typical weekend bar closing hours along that strip.

A Corridor With A Violent Recent History

This isn't the first time violence has struck this particular stretch of Midtown. In June 2025, Sacramento Police responded to a violent assault involving a weapon just one block away, in the 1000 block of 21st Street, where a male victim suffered critical injuries. It remains unclear whether cameras from that network captured any footage of Sunday's attack, or whether the stabbing began inside a specific venue or on the street itself.
