A man was found dead on MARTA tracks in DeKalb County Monday night, bringing rail service to a temporary halt while police investigated. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, a MARTA rail operator spotted the man around 9:30 p.m. while traveling between the two stations. Police responded and processed the scene, while officials withheld the man's name and did not say whether he had been struck by a train or how he got onto the tracks.

Rail service was suspended temporarily as officers investigated the death, creating a disruption for riders on the eastern portion of MARTA's system. Authorities have not announced a cause or manner of death, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The incident comes months after a woman was found dead along MARTA tracks in southwest Atlanta. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that surveillance later showed the woman entering the track area, although officials in the DeKalb County case have released no comparable details and have announced no connection between the incidents.
