Northbound I-5 was squeezed down to the HOV lane Saturday morning near Mountlake Terrace after a multiple-vehicle crash involving serious injuries. The blockage landed on one of the region’s busiest northbound routes with no immediate reopening time available.
At about 5:30 a.m., WSDOT Traffic reported that every northbound lane near milepost 181 was blocked except the HOV lane. The Washington State Patrol was investigating, and drivers were asked to be patient while troopers worked at the scene.
