Rain chances remain low Thursday, with only a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm Thursday night. The bigger concern will be the combination of heat and humidity, especially for people working or exercising outdoors.
Storm Chances Build Friday
Friday will be another hot one, with a high near 91 and heat-index values potentially reaching 103. Showers and thunderstorms could develop after 2 p.m., and the chance of rain rises to 50% Friday night. Any storms may bring brief heavy downpours, with a quarter-inch to half-inch of rain possible in some spots.
Heat Hangs On Through Early Next Week
The weekend will not offer much relief, with highs near 91 expected Saturday and Sunday. Saturday carries a slight chance of afternoon storms, while Sunday should be sunny and dry. Monday may reach 89 degrees, Tuesday could climb back to 91 with another afternoon storm chance, and Wednesday looks cooler near 85.
