Parkside, the Latin-inspired gastropub that's been a fixture on Hyde Park Square since 2023, is packing up its 48 seats and moving into a much bigger space just a few doors down. The restaurant will relocate from 2637 Erie Ave. to 2635 Erie Ave., taking over the corner spot at Erie Avenue and Edwards Road that most recently housed Mexcantina before it closed in December 2025.
The move will double Parkside's operational footprint compared to its original space, according to Local 12 News, which reported that owner Trevor Snowden told the Cincinnati Business Courier that the original Parkside location will stay open throughout construction at the new site so the business doesn't lose revenue during the transition. Snowden expects the new Parkside to open in spring 2027, per his comments to the Business Courier.
A Well-Traveled Corner on Hyde Park Square
The corner space Parkside is moving into has seen plenty of turnover in recent years. It previously operated as Mesa Loca before Mexcantina took over in August 2024, only to shut its doors in December 2025 — another entry in a string of short-lived dining concepts that have rotated through the Hyde Park Square corridor's corner retail spaces, the same reporting on the property's history notes.
Parkside itself opened on July 11, 2023, moving into the space previously occupied by Cork & Cap, a neighborhood wine bar and restaurant. Its original outdoor patio overlooking Hyde Park Square has been central to its identity, helping drive foot traffic in one of Cincinnati's most affluent east-side neighborhoods, home to more than 14,000 residents anchored by the Square's dense mix of shops and restaurants, according to demographic data compiled by LPT Realty.
Snowden's Growing Cincinnati Portfolio
Trevor Snowden is a native Cincinnatian who cut his teeth in the local restaurant industry working for Thunderdome Restaurant Group starting in 2012, part of the original opening team for Bakersfield in Over-the-Rhine. He struck out on his own in 2019 with Delwood, a gastropub on Mount Lookout Square housed in the former Wurst Bar building and named for the intersection of Delta and Linwood avenues.
Delwood and Parkside share a Latin American culinary thread that traces back to Snowden's mother, who is from Peru — an influence visible in dishes like Peruvian empanadas and chicken marinades across both menus. The two restaurants also share signature items, including Delwood's popular double cheeseburger and yuca fries, even as Parkside carves out its own identity with dishes like pimento cheese burgers.
Latest Addition to a Multi-Concept Group
Snowden expanded his holdings further in July 2025 with Guardia Pizza & Bar, a New York-style slice shop under 1,000 square feet that opened directly next door to Delwood in Mount Lookout, complete with a walk-up slice window and soft-serve ice cream alongside a tight bar setup. Together with Parkside, the three concepts now make up Snowden's local restaurant group.
The upcoming Parkside relocation marks the latest chapter for a restaurateur whose track record — from Thunderdome alumnus to owner of three distinct Cincinnati concepts — points to strong local demand for his casual, Latin-inflected approach to neighborhood dining. Exact details on the new location's layout, including whether it will preserve the outdoor patio dining that helped define the original Parkside, have not yet been reported.
