Pennsylvania State Police are asking for help finding 17-year-old Samantha Miscik, who reportedly left her home before dawn on Friday, July 24, and was picked up by a man she did not know. Nearly two weeks later, police say she had been seen in Lancaster as recently as Saturday.
A report by WTAE says Miscik may have been dropped off in Lancaster after the man picked her up in Westmoreland County. Authorities believe she may be using the Red Rose Transit Authority system, which serves Lancaster city and county.
Miscik’s father, Ernest Miscik, said she had never met the unknown man before and may have encountered him online. He told the station that she is autistic, has mental-health difficulties and is not taking her medication, raising concern about her safety and ability to care for herself.
Miscik is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 125 pounds, with red hair and brown eyes. WTAE reported that she was last known to be wearing a black shirt and black pants, and left without her glasses or cellphone.
Police Trace Green Subaru Toward Lancaster
The vehicle connected to the report was described as a green Subaru Outback, but Pennsylvania State Police said they did not obtain a license plate number. The vehicle was last seen heading north on Dillon Road in the Acme-Donegal area, according to the report.

The Red Rose Transit Authority says it provides public bus service throughout Lancaster city and Lancaster County, making its routes part of the active search area. Miscik’s whereabouts remained unknown as of Tuesday, and authorities are asking anyone who may have seen her or the Subaru to share what they know.
