Rain is not the main story for central Phoenix, but a few monsoon-related showers or thunderstorms could approach Wednesday night, especially between 8 and 10 p.m. The bigger local nuisance may be outflow winds and blowing dust, with gusts around 30 to 35 mph possible across parts of Maricopa County.
Storm chances remain limited Friday and Saturday, then rise Sunday, when showers and thunderstorms have a 40% chance, mostly after 5 p.m. Monday is somewhat cooler near 106 with a 30% storm chance, while Tuesday stays around 105 with a slight chance of storms.
