Pleasant Hill’s award-winning Night Market is back this Friday at Chilpancingo Park, bringing an evening of food, shopping, music and family activities to the East Bay. The free event runs from 5 to 9 PM, giving locals four hours to browse artisan booths, grab dinner and let the kids burn off some energy.
The 2026 season launched in May and continues on the first and third Fridays through November, according to the City of Pleasant Hill’s May newsletter. An event listing from Funcheap confirms Friday’s market is free and will be held at Chilpancingo Park.
According to the city’s Pleasant Hill announcement, the lineup includes live performances presented by MCV Music Group, featuring Lydia Eden, Scoody Trill, Meelah Mahasin, M80, Mike Scholar, Mia Jomor, Hous3 and Matthew Vintrell. The market will also feature food trucks, artisan vendors, a beer and wine garden, live music and free admission.
Kids’ Activities And Extra Parking
Friday’s family-friendly programming includes slime-making, a petting zoo, balloon twisting, face painting and a bounce house. The event announcement also lists additional parking at Diablo Valley College, a useful detail for anyone who would rather not circle the park like it’s a competitive sport.
The market is scheduled to return on the first and third Friday of each month through November 20. Contra Costa Live lists the recurring event as running from 5 to 9 PM and describes it as featuring more than 50 vendors, food, beverages and Asian, Hawaiian and Pacific Islander cultural performances.
A Pleasant Hill Tradition Gets A Second Season
The Night Market debuted in 2025 as a new community event at Chilpancingo Park, with food vendors, local merchandise, live music and kids’ and pet zones. The City of Pleasant Hill’s original announcement said the first season would run on the same first-and-third-Friday schedule, a format the city has now brought back for another summer and fall.
