The National Weather Service says a weak front could bring stronger gusts inland, reaching around 20 mph, while the best chance of light showers stays near the coast, Coast Range and north of the Oregon-Washington border.
For Portland, rain odds remain low, with a daytime chance near 2% and an overnight chance around 5%. Any shower activity is most likely between 5 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Sunday, with Sunday turning partly sunny and reaching about 78 degrees.
Heat Returns Monday
Sunday night should be mostly clear with a low near 59, then Monday jumps to a sunny 88 degrees. Tuesday remains mostly sunny near 86 before temperatures ease back into the upper 70s Wednesday through Friday.
A slight chance of light rain returns after 5 p.m. Wednesday, with rain chances around 15%. Thursday and Friday look mostly sunny, with highs near 76 and 78 degrees, respectively.
For weekend plans, Saturday afternoon looks like the sweet spot for outdoor time. Monday's hotter forecast calls for the usual summer basics: water, shade and a little mercy for anyone without air conditioning.
