Sunny Saturday, Cooler Sunday
Saturday will be mostly sunny across Portland, with north-northwest winds around 2 to 8 mph and no rain in the forecast. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will fall to about 58 degrees Saturday night under mostly clear skies.
Sunday brings a modest cooldown, with a high near 83 degrees and mostly sunny conditions. Winds may gust up to 18 mph, so patio umbrellas, lightweight decorations and anything else that treats Portland wind as a personal challenge may need securing.
Dry Stretch Holds Through Midweek
The forecast remains dry through at least Wednesday, with highs near 81 degrees Monday, 82 Tuesday and 80 Wednesday. Overnight lows will stay comfortable, generally in the upper 50s, while daytime skies remain sunny or mostly sunny.
Heat Builds Again Late Next Week
Summer makes another push Thursday and Friday, when highs are forecast to reach 87 and 90 degrees, respectively. Portland’s forecast lists no watches, warnings or advisories, although the National Weather Service notes that stronger fire-weather conditions are possible in parts of the Columbia River Gorge and eastern Hood River County on Saturday.
