Pressed Cafe is coming to Fenway. The Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual chain plans to open at 126 Brookline Avenue this winter, adding a 13th outpost to a Massachusetts and New Hampshire footprint that has been growing rapidly all year.
Rachael Diharce confirmed the expansion in a LinkedIn post, saying Pressed Cafe is officially coming to the Fenway in late fall, according to WhatNow Boston. The new cafe is slated to open in the space at 126 Brookline Avenue in December 2026, per the same outlet, landing in a three-story, 67,479-square-foot commercial building whose co-tenants include Marshalls and Yard House, according to The Real Reporter.
The building sits along a stretch of Brookline Avenue that developer Samuels & Associates has spent more than two decades transforming from parking lots and auto repair shops into a walkable retail, office, and residential hub, according to A Better City. That portfolio includes projects like Trilogy, 1330 Boylston, Van Ness, and Pierce Boston, the same report notes — the latter of which recently opened as a 47-unit aparthotel from Kasa, a Hoodline-covered arrival in the neighborhood.
What's on the Menu
Pressed Cafe's food lineup blends Mediterranean-inspired flavors with familiar cafe fare, according to the article. The menu spans smoothies, juices, coffee, paninis, pizzas, salads, soups, and smashburgers, and the cafe also serves craft cocktails and vegan options, the report states. Per the company's own website, Pressed Cafe describes its ingredients as bold flavors and fresh, locally prepared items.
The chain currently operates in Burlington, Chelmsford, Lawrence, Woburn, Beverly, Newton, and two spots in Boston proper at the Prudential Center and the Seaport district, the article notes. Pressed Cafe was founded by husband-and-wife team Roi and Miri Shpindler in 2014 in Nashua, New Hampshire, where the company built its original fast-casual concept around quick-service healthy dining and all-day breakfast, according to Spoon University.
A Playbook Built on Suburban Roots and Urban Leaps
Pressed Cafe's move onto Brookline Avenue follows a pattern the brand has used before: establish itself in suburban strip malls and drive-thrus, then leap into dense Boston commercial corridors. The chain made its first urban Boston move in May 2020, opening a 6,300-square-foot location at the Prudential Center using a liquor license transferred from South End restaurant A4, according to the design firm behind that build-out, PCA.
That same versatility shows up at the opposite end of the format spectrum. Alongside its sit-down and counter-service cafes, Pressed Cafe runs a drive-thru-only location on Cotton Road in Nashua, and the city hosts two of the chain's outposts total, including its original Spit Brook Road storefront, per Hippo Press.
Momentum Across the Region
The Fenway announcement lands amid a broader wave of growth. Pressed Cafe opened its 12th location in August at the Cummings Center in Beverly, featuring nearly 150 seats and plans for a speakeasy-style basement bar called “the cellar,” according to a Facebook post from Boston's Wicked North Shore. That Beverly location operates daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., the post adds.
The chain is also eyeing Dedham, where it expects to open another location in fall 2026 inside a former TGI Friday's building at 750 Providence Highway near Dedham Plaza, home to high-traffic tenants like Panera and The Halal Guys. In Woburn, Pressed Cafe opened a location at 369 Washington Street in November 2025, introducing pizza to its all-day food menu for the first time, according to a Facebook video from Mark Garbino.
Existing locations are expanding, too. In October 2025, Pressed Cafe petitioned the Boston Licensing Board to grow indoor seating at its Seaport location at 49 Pier 4 Boulevard from 49 to 72 seats and add a private, 44-seat seasonal patio, per city licensing records. And in September 2025, the chain received unanimous local planning approval to expand its Burlington location at 200 District Avenue with additional square footage and seating.
Fenway has drawn dining and retail attention before, including new business openings along Brookline Avenue that Hoodline covered back in 2018. With opening timelines for the Fenway cafe shifting slightly between late fall and winter, exactly when diners can grab a smashburger or a craft cocktail on Brookline Avenue remains to be seen — but Pressed Cafe's pattern of rapid, format-flexible growth suggests the wait won't be long.
