Ramsey’s annual Happy Days festival is bringing a two-band soundtrack to town this September, with Jonah and the Whales and Stone Daisy set to headline the daylong celebration. Fireworks will close out the festivities at 10 p.m., giving the city one more reason to keep the lawn chairs handy.

The City of Ramsey announced the 2026 lineup Saturday in a Facebook post, confirming the festival for Saturday, September 12. The event will combine daytime family activities, food, an expo, a parade and live music across from City Hall.

Two Twin Cities Bands Take The Main Stage

Jonah and the Whales will perform from 6:30 to 8 p.m., bringing a broad party-band mix that spans pop, rock, country, punk and other genres. The group has been a longtime Twin Cities favorite, according to the City of Ramsey, which describes the act as a veteran live-music staple.

Stone Daisy follows from 8:30 to 10 p.m. with a country-rock set built around powerful vocals, tight harmonies, modern country, Top 40 and classic rock from the 1980s and 1990s; the band’s own site similarly bills it as a high-energy country-rock group.

Festival Schedule Packs Sunwood Drive

The festival will begin with an 8 a.m. 5K and youth fun run at Elmcrest Park, followed by the expo, food vendors, a Lions beer tent, kids’ activities, a parade and several competitions. The city’s festival schedule lists a dog show, car show, bean bag tournament, bingo and other programming throughout the day.

Most activities will take place along Sunwood Drive NW, across from City Hall, with the parade scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The city says the expo will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the fireworks are planned for 10 p.m., although the schedule remains subject to change.

Bolton & Menk is listed as the stage sponsor, while the Ramsey Lions Club is sponsoring entertainment, according to the city’s announcement. Questions about Happy Days can be directed to Ramsey Parks and Recreation at 763-433-9883 or [email protected].
