Sammy Hagar is heading back to the Dolby Live stage at Park MGM this September for five more nights of his Best of All Worlds residency, reuniting him with bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Joe Satriani and drummer Kenny Aronoff. The run kicks off Friday, September 18, and continues September 19, 23, 25 and 26, with a setlist billed as new and exclusive to the Las Vegas engagement.
According to FOX5 Las Vegas, the residency draws from across Hagar's career, pulling hits from Montrose, Van Halen, Chickenfoot and his own solo catalog into a single show. The station reports tickets for all five dates are available through Ticketmaster and RedRocker.com/events.
The September dates mark the second half of an 11-show 2026 engagement at Park MGM, following six spring performances held from March 11 through March 21, according to VHND. MGM Resorts booked the expanded 2026 run after strong demand for Hagar's initial nine-show residency in spring 2025, which produced a 19-track live album released in October 2025, per an MGM Resorts Newsroom release.
Why Hagar Traded the Road for a Vegas Stage
Hagar has been candid about why he's leaning into residencies instead of another grinding tour. He told Rolling Stone in May 2025 that cutting out travel time lets him play far more shows overall, as recounted by Ultimate Classic Rock, which noted he can now do up to 75 shows instead of 50 without the wear of the road, a strategy he described while kicking off the residency at age 77.
The same outlet reports that residency setlists have included deep cuts rarely heard live, such as Amsterdam, which hadn't been played since 2007, and Love Walks In, unplayed since 1993, along with Hagar's Eddie Van Halen tribute song Encore Thank You Goodnight, which he debuted on the residency's opening night. This year's shows also arrive during the 40th anniversary of 5150, Hagar's 1986 debut album with Van Halen, according to SeatGeek.
A Lineup Rebuilt Around a Family Emergency
Drummer Kenny Aronoff's spot in the band traces back to a lineup shakeup in 2024. He stepped in for original touring drummer Jason Bonham, who left the summer 2024 tour to be with his mother following a stroke, according to Drummerworld. Aronoff has since become a permanent member of the group, having previously played alongside Hagar, Anthony and Satriani in the supergroup Chickenfoot.
Dolby Live's High-Tech Stage
The venue hosting Hagar is a 5,200-seat amphitheater built with a custom 3D Dolby Atmos sound system and an 80-foot-wide, 40-foot-tall 4K LED video wall, according to Mixdown Mag. Dolby Live originally opened in December 2016 as the Park Theater before being rebranded in October 2021.
Park MGM has been in the middle of its own overhaul beyond the theater. The resort's boutique wing, formerly NoMad Las Vegas, was rebranded in December 2025 as The Reserve at Park MGM as part of its shift into Marriott's Autograph Collection, a move that updated 293 guest rooms and the property's attached lounge venues.

Fans hoping to catch a show without buying tickets outright can enter Sammy's Beach Bar Rum's Let's Rock Vegas 2026 sweepstakes, which offers a pair of tickets to the Dolby Live residency and lets winners select their preferred show date, according to FOX5 Las Vegas. The sweepstakes requires no purchase, is open to U.S. residents at least 21 years old, and accepts entries through August 30, 2026.
The promotion ties into Hagar's long-running presence in Las Vegas hospitality. His spirits lineup, including Sammy's Beach Bar Rum, Santo Tequila and Red Rocker Lager, will be featured at several Las Vegas destinations tied to the residency, per the station's report, including Caspian's Cocktails & Caviar at Caesars Palace, Cabo Wabo Cantina at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, and The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails and Amaya Modern Mexican, both at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Santo Tequila itself has roots in Hagar's earlier tequila venture. He co-founded the brand in 2019 with celebrity chef Guy Fieri, following his 2007 sale of Cabo Wabo Tequila to Gruppo Campari for $80 million, according to Forbes. Hagar's broader legacy includes induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 as a member of Van Halen, capping a career with 25 platinum albums and more than 50 million records sold worldwide, per SeatGeek.
