Two people, including an 11-year-old child, were in critical condition after an evening shooting in West Bexar County, while the person believed to be responsible was taken into custody. The gunfire happened Tuesday night near Acadian Drive and U.S. Highway 90.
According to News 4 San Antonio, deputies were called around 7:40 p.m. to the 9800 block of Acadian Drive near West Loop 1604. The victims, identified only as an 11-year-old and a 20-year-old, were rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
Officials Have Not Released A Motive
The latest report did not identify the suspect or explain what led to the shooting. It also remained unclear whether formal charges had been filed or what relationship, if any, existed among the people involved.
Sheriff Javier Salazar was expected to brief reporters later Tuesday night, the station reported. Additional details about the investigation and the victims’ conditions were expected as authorities continued working to piece together what happened.
