Saturday looks like the weekend’s easier outdoor day, with sunny skies, a high near 91 and light northeast winds. That changes Sunday, when showers and thunderstorms become possible from the morning into the afternoon, with a 50% chance of rain and another high near 90.

The shift is notable after the stormier outlook covered by Hoodline on Thursday. Storm coverage is expected to become more numerous Sunday into the new week, and a few storms could bring damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning and brief heavy rain.

Rain Chances Stay Elevated Next Week

Monday and Tuesday carry the highest rain chances in the current forecast, at about 60% each day, while highs remain near 90 to 91 degrees. Wednesday and Thursday should be a little less stormy, but afternoon showers and thunderstorms remain possible as temperatures climb into the low 90s.
