Seattle's Gas Works Park is about to get a late-summer bassquake, with Skrillex returning for a massive outdoor day party after more than a decade away. The lineup is stacked enough to make the park's industrial skyline feel like a very large speaker cabinet.
The nine-time Grammy winner will headline the Gas Works Day Party on Saturday, August 29, joined by Dylan Brady, Nick León, Porter Robinson and underscores, according to FOX 13 Seattle. It will be Skrillex's first concert in Seattle in 14 years.
A 10,000-Person Concert Is On The City Calendar
The event is a 21-and-over show with doors scheduled to open at 3 p.m. The Seattle Parks and Recreation calendar lists a large concert at the park from noon to 9 p.m. with an anticipated attendance of approximately 10,000 people, meaning nearby neighbors should expect a very busy Saturday around Lake Union.
Skrillex last performed in Seattle at Bumbershoot in 2012, while his most recent Washington appearance was at the Paradiso festival at the Gorge in 2019, FOX 13 reported. The long gap helps explain why a one-day park booking is already generating major attention among electronic-music fans.

Skrillex's career includes nine Grammy wins, including early victories for his breakout electronic releases, according to his Recording Academy profile. The Seattle lineup also brings together artists from several corners of current dance music, from Brady's hyperactive production work to Robinson's melodic electronic sets.
Artist presale tickets are scheduled to go live Wednesday, followed by the general public sale Thursday, according to FOX 13 Seattle. With a 10,000-person ceiling and a lineup built for festival-sized singalongs, Seattle fans may want to move quickly before this Gas Works party turns into a resale-market endurance test.
