Monday Is The Warmest Day Of The Week
Monday brings sunny skies and a much warmer afternoon, with a high near 83 degrees. Winds should remain light, so Portlanders may want to take advantage of the brief warm-up while it lasts.
Clouds return Monday night as temperatures settle near 58 degrees. By Tuesday, the high is expected to fall back to around 72, with a chance of rain developing after 11 a.m.
Rain Arrives In Earnest Wednesday
Tuesday night brings a better chance of rain, followed by a wetter and cooler Wednesday. Rain is expected throughout the day, with a high near 66 degrees and southerly winds around 12 mph.
Wednesday night should remain rainy, and Thursday looks unsettled as well. Showers and thunderstorms are likely between late morning and late afternoon Thursday, with another high near 66 degrees; any thunderstorms could bring brief heavy rain, gusty winds or small hail.
Cooler, Showery Finish
Rain chances linger Friday, when the high should reach about 69 degrees, followed by partly sunny skies and a slight chance of rain Saturday. The weekend forecast currently calls for highs near 70 degrees, a considerable change from Monday's early-week warmth.
