The morning should remain mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching the upper 80s around midday. Rain chances rise through the afternoon, when Tampa could see brief downpours, lightning and sudden changes in visibility.
Afternoon Storms Could Interrupt Outdoor Plans
Hourly forecasts keep rain chances relatively low through late morning before they increase during the early and middle afternoon. Temperatures are expected to peak around 92 degrees between 3 and 4 p.m., making the morning the better window for exercise, errands and other outdoor plans.

Tuesday will be another hot day, with a high near 92 and scattered storms possible between 3 and 5 p.m. Wednesday should reach about 93 degrees, with storm chances increasing to 50% after 2 p.m., while Thursday brings the wettest forecast so far with a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Friday and the weekend stay hot, with highs in the low to mid-90s and daily chances for afternoon storms. The weather service expects heat indices to reach triple digits at times, though current conditions are expected to remain below heat-advisory criteria, so regular hydration and breaks from the afternoon sun remain a smart Tampa routine.
