Storms Could Disrupt Friday Afternoon Plans

Sunday should reach about 89 degrees with another chance of showers and thunderstorms, while Monday through Thursday turns hotter and generally sunnier. Highs are expected to climb from 91 degrees Monday to 95 Thursday, and heat indexes could reach 100 to 104 degrees by early to midweek.
The latest outlook is a sharper update to the storm-and-heat pattern outlined in Hoodline's earlier forecast: keep rain gear handy for afternoon plans this weekend, then prepare for a much hotter stretch next week. Heat advisories could become necessary if readings reach the upper end of that projected range.
