According to the National Weather Service Cleveland office, showers and thunderstorms could develop after 11 p.m. Wednesday and continue into early Thursday. A few strong storms are possible mainly in northwest Ohio, while activity is expected to weaken before reaching the Cleveland area.
Warm, Breezy Afternoon Gives Way To Storm Chance
South winds will run around 7 to 10 mph Wednesday, with rain chances staying close to zero through the afternoon. The overnight low should settle near 67 degrees, with a 50% chance of rain and thunderstorms and rainfall totals generally below a tenth of an inch.
No watches, warnings or advisories are currently posted for Cleveland. Anyone with late-night outdoor plans should still keep an eye on the sky and move indoors if thunder develops.
Thursday Brings A Brief Cooldown
Thursday will be a little cooler, with a high near 80 and a slight chance of showers before 2 p.m. The rest of the day should turn mostly sunny, with west winds between 7 and 10 mph.
Another round of showers could develop Thursday night after 8 p.m., with a 30% chance of rain and a low around 65. Friday may start with a stray shower before 8 a.m., then turn mostly sunny with a high near 78.
Weekend Heat Builds Again
Saturday looks mostly sunny and reaches about 81 degrees, followed by a mostly sunny Sunday near 84. That warmer stretch marks a change from the storm-focused outlook Hoodline covered last week.
Temperatures could climb to around 87 degrees Monday before shower and thunderstorm chances return Monday night and Tuesday. Tuesday is expected to remain warm, with a high near 85 and a chance of showers followed by a slight thunderstorm chance.
