Raleigh emergency crews launched a lake search Saturday afternoon after a report of a possible missing person, bringing in underwater drones and firefighters from multiple Wake County departments. The search was still active in the initial report, and officials had not announced whether anyone had been located.
Firefighters were sent to Millbrook Lake Center around 4:06 p.m. after a potential missing-person call, according to WRAL. Raleigh Fire Chief did not confirm whether a person was officially missing or whether anyone was underwater, but crews were using underwater drones to aid the operation.

Firefighters from Northern Wake Fire and Wake Forest Fire Department were also called to help with the search. The multi-department response suggests crews were treating the report as an active water emergency while investigators worked to determine exactly what had happened.
Officials said they would provide an update later. As of the initial report, no name, description or confirmed outcome had been released.
