Zeppelin Hall is filling its fall calendar with pizza, pretzels and pigskin. The indoor-outdoor biergarten at 88 Liberty View Drive in Jersey City's Liberty Harbor neighborhood kicked off Pizza Fest on Friday, a menu takeover running through September 18 that will give way to Oktoberfest programming starting September 12, a Bavarian Fashion Show on September 19, and a full slate of NFL watch parties once football season arrives.
The rollout was detailed in Zeppelin Hall's fall 2026 events calendar, as reported by ROI-NJ. Pizza Fest features 11 specialty pizzas, served in shareable square cuts and offered as either 13-inch Chicago-style pies or 23-inch oval pies. The lineup includes a Hot Honey Pig Pizza loaded with kielbasa, bacon, pepperoni, pickled jalapeños and hot honey, a White Truffle Mushroom Pizza built on wild mushrooms, garlic and white truffle oil, a Cajun Pizza topped with spicy andouille sausage, cajun shrimp and caramelized onions, and a dessert-leaning Nutella Pizza finished with strawberries and bananas. Guests can pair any of the pies with the venue's beer, cocktails and other beverages.
Oktoberfest and a Bavarian Runway
Once Pizza Fest wraps up, Zeppelin Hall pivots into Oktoberfest programming beginning September 12, bringing German-inspired food, seasonal beer, live music and other programming to the space. The Oktoberfest menu will include spätzle and schnitzel dishes alongside Hofbräu Oktoberfest beer, part of a rotating list of more than 100 beers the venue keeps on offer. On September 19, the celebration will include a Bavarian Fashion Show featuring traditional Bavarian attire alongside contemporary German design.
The expansion involved Director of Operations John Argento's visit to Danny Meyer's Blue Smoke and Chef Franco Robazetti's broader pork pilgrimage, including Franklin Barbecue in Austin, according to New Jersey Monthly.
Football Season Takes Over the Screens
As fall progresses, Zeppelin Hall will shift its programming toward NFL watch parties and other sports coverage running through the season, including NFL Sunday Ticket, college football, and major NBA and NHL matchups. The venue is offering food and beverage promotions tied to select games, and groups can organize fantasy football drafts at the biergarten. The 2026 NFL regular season officially kicks off Wednesday, September 9, with Seattle hosting New England, per DAZN, setting the backdrop for the venue's autumn sports slate.
This isn't the first time Zeppelin Hall has leaned on a major sporting event to draw crowds. The venue hosted multi-week watch parties for the 2026 FIFA World Cup through the July 19 championship final, touting what it described as the largest TV screens in Hudson County, per a release covered by Business Wire. For the NFL season, the venue is again offering multiple viewing areas, indoor and outdoor seating, and communal tables to accommodate the crowds.
A Venue Built for Big Crowds
The physical scale behind that strategy is considerable. Zeppelin Hall has indoor seating and an outdoor gravel beer garden. The biergarten offers communal seating, live entertainment, complimentary parking and no cover charge, along with private-event options for groups and first-come, first-served walk-in seating.
Zeppelin Hall sits on the ground floor of The Zenith at Liberty Harbor, within an 80-acre master-planned waterfront development designed to eventually include 6,000 housing units and 500,000 square feet of retail space, according to DPZ CoDesign. That buildout continues: the Jersey City Planning Board approved a 16-story, 300-unit residential project at 250 Morris Boulevard in Liberty Harbor in July 2024, a project that also extends Morris Boulevard to connect local streets, as reported by Jersey Digs. The additional housing is part of Liberty Harbor's ongoing buildout.
Getting There, and What's Unresolved
Zeppelin Hall draws customers from Jersey City, Hudson County and New York City in part because of its transit access. The venue sits one block from the Jersey Avenue station on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail line, connecting patrons across Hudson County, according to Hoboken Girl, and it's also within walking distance of the Grove Street PATH station.
The venue's expansive gravel beer garden also benefits from a broader legal shift. New Jersey enacted legislation in November 2024 permanently authorizing restaurants and bars to operate outdoor dining spaces, replacing the state's pandemic-era temporary rules and allowing expansion permits to convert into permanent annual permits. Still unresolved is how late-night sound and crowd volumes are managed for residents living directly above the biergarten in The Zenith, since Jersey City municipal noise regulations require that sound in outdoor or public spaces not be plainly audible at a distance of 25 feet between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
