More than 10,000 locally sourced pumpkins are taking over a waterfront bar in Boston's Seaport, transforming Island Creek Raw Bar at 99 Autumn Lane into a temporary fall playground complete with a pumpkin smashing zone, scarecrow archery, and a literal pool of pumpkins. Cityside Pumpkin Patch runs from October 6 through November 1, mixing seasonal decor with carnival games, fall-themed cocktails, and food built for families and kids of all ages.
The pop-up comes from event promoters Bucket Listers and Rose Gold Entertainment, as reported by MassLive, and it is not the pair's first rodeo — similar installments have already run in New York City and Philadelphia. Bucket Listers previously transformed the 25,000-square-foot Summer Club rooftop in Long Island City, Queens, and the Liberty Point venue at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia into temporary pumpkin patches, placing the Boston debut inside an established multi-city touring franchise, according to Bucket Listers.
The venue itself has its own backstory. Island Creek Raw Bar's 20,000-square-foot outdoor footprint, with its picnic tables and turf lawn, first opened as a seasonal pop-up in June 2025, per Caught in Southie. Island Creek Oysters had long run a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Kenmore Square.
What's Inside the Gates
Beyond the smashing zone and archery, organizers have layered in a ghost slingshot range, tarot card readings, face-painting stations, and spooky photo backdrops alongside the carnival games, according to the same Bucket Listers listing. It is the kind of interactive, non-agricultural mix that has become the signature of these urban pumpkin patches, designed to keep city visitors engaged well beyond just picking a gourd.
Hungry guests do not have to leave the lot to eat. The Row 34 food truck is parked on-site for the season, dishing out New England seafood specialties including lobster claw bao buns, according to Row 34's own site describing its Row on the Go mobile kitchen. The truck brings Boston seafood specialties to a pop-up template built for national touring.
Tickets, Hours, and Age Rules
Entry runs on timed reservation slots Wednesday through Sundays, with gates opening 15 minutes before the ticketed window and closing 30 minutes after — late arrivals risk being turned away, per the same listing on the pop-up's ticketing pages. Tickets start at $13.90 and are sold through Bucket Listers' website, with hours varying by day, per MassLive's report. Children ages 3 and older need their own ticket for entry, and some ticket packages include a pumpkin, while others require buying one à la carte for $10 to $20 depending on size.
Despite the family-friendly framing, the venue keeps its bar rules intact: guests must be 21 or older to purchase or consume alcohol, and anyone under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, according to The Boston Calendar. Pets are not allowed on-site except service animals. The waterfront location sits about a 15-minute walk from South Station, near the Provincetown Ferry Terminal, making it an easy add-on for anyone already downtown.
Boston's Growing Pop-Up Habit
Cityside Pumpkin Patch is just the latest notch in Bucket Listers' expanding Boston footprint. The promoter previously ticketed the Survivor Ultimate Fan Cafe at The Greatest Bar in September 2025. Boston has hosted other pop-up events, including the Survivor Ultimate Fan Cafe.
The concept also puts pumpkins at the center of an urban fall attraction, pairing seasonal decor with games and food.
