El Paso's drive-thru coffee scene just got a little more crowded. 7 Brew opened its second stand in the city on Monday, Sept. 14, at 12220 Eastlake Blvd.
The new stand is drive-thru-only and compact, measuring roughly 510 square feet, according to El Paso Inc. It offers more than 20,000 customizable drink combinations spanning coffee, energy drinks, smoothies and teas — a menu built around variety rather than a sit-down café experience.
This marks the second 7 Brew to land in El Paso this year. The chain's first local stand opened in June at 9061 Dyer St. in Northeast El Paso, the same report notes, giving the fast-growing brand a foothold on both ends of the city within a few months of each other.
A Third Stand Already in the Works
7 Brew isn't stopping at two. A third El Paso location is planned for 1830 N. Zaragoza Road, with an estimated opening in November, per the same report. That would give the chain three stands across the city in under six months — a pace that mirrors its national growth story.
7 Brew traces its roots to 2017, when it opened its first stand in Northwest Arkansas, according to 7brew.com. The company says its menu now spans seven categories, including coffees, energy drinks, sodas, teas, lemonades, smoothies and shakes, and that it serves more than 1 million drinks per day systemwide. Blackstone Inc. took a minority stake in the company in 2024, the company's website states.
Rapid Growth, With Some Fuzzy Numbers
Just how big 7 Brew has gotten depends on which account you read. The company's own site says it has grown from 38 stands in January 2023 to more than 700 locations across 38 states, while El Paso Inc. reports more than 800 locations in 38 states. Either figure reflects a dramatic climb for a chain that NRN describes as having gone from nothing to the fourth-largest coffee brand in the U.S. in less than a decade.
El Paso's Broader Openings Wave
Poke chain Pokeworks also opened a second city location at 14011 Pebble Hills Blvd., El Paso Inc. reported.
For El Paso drivers, the Eastlake corridor is quickly becoming a case study in caffeine competition. Whether 7 Brew's expansion reaches the Zaragoza Road area come November remains to be seen, but for now, El Pasoans on both sides of town have a new drive-thru option to try.
